Adjudication |

Although the finer rules of each tournament differ, for example in the World Debates, Points of Interjection (POIs) are allowed, the adjudication itself is often fairly similar between tournaments. I've enclosed here the set of guidelines for Adjudicators at the 4th Asian Intervarsity Debating Championships, 1997. The source document is originally in hard-copy, but I OCRed it on my scanner. Given the capabilities of these programs and machines, it's fairly unlikely that too many errors will exist in the document. In any event, If you're not perfectly sure of some point, do get back to me. The set of guidelines were prepared from reference to the Australian Debating Handbook and the Handbook for Adjudicators, Monash 1995. |
